KOHAKU NO MADOROMI

Sweet Potato Schochu
This classic example of Shochu made with 87% sweet potatoes and 13% rice is rich, full of earthy flavors, soft on the palate and slightly sweet on the finish.
‘Kohaku’ means ‘amber’ and refers to the liquid color. Kohaku no Madoromi is a blend of 3 distinct batches, one of them being aged in oak over 3 years. ‘Madoromi’ means ‘slumber’, it refers to the time spent by the liquid straight from the alambic into the oak before the final blend and bottling. Simply delicious !
